About

Founded in 2018, UNWomen Oxford was incorporated as part of the UNWomen UK National Committee's Student Champion Programme, aiming to involve university students in advocating for gender equality and the goals of UNWomen. Our society also takes part in fundraising for UNWomen and UNWomen NCUK.

We are an active society, organising a series of events in Oxford during term time, ranging from speakers and workshops, to photo campaigns and movie nights. Through these events, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of gender equality, in our university and elsewhere, to inspire our students to take action and challenge the status quo.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Mission

Our mission is to engage students of all genders at the University of Oxford with the issues of gender inequality and empower them to fight for a more equal world.

Our Mission

Our Vision

Our vision is that every woman may feel empowered, valued, and equal at University and through her life. We want to see people of all genders make that happen.
